To summarize, since it's a little on the long side, the author argues that the passages referring to predestination do not refer to individuals, but to the Church (meaning the whole group of believers). The fate of the Church is set and sure, but we have a choice to be a part of the Church, or God's elect. This is oversimplified to some extent, which is why I included the link (so you could check it out for yourselves). In addition, www.biblegateway.com was helpful for me to look up the cited passages in the NIV translation, because it is hard for me to follow KJV language.
