frustrated

So these last few days I've been kind of frustrated. They've gone well. Classes will be.... well boring classes I suppose. Tuesday was crazy busy! In the morning I definitely slept in, skipping freshman chapel. I intend to save all of my skips for Tuesdays. I'm not a huge fan of Chap Daddy. I think his sermons are drier than the congregated sermons at Chalfant. I also enjoy listening to different preachers, so that makes Wednesday chapels more exciting! I woke up and got around for lunch. I ate with Lacy, Kiesh and Amber I think. Yeah. Montague ate with us too. Spit wads were shot. :-) Go figure. After that, I rushed off to English, which was incredibly boring as always. However, it's so entertaining at the same rate. Professor Gardner is such a riot. She gets off on the most bizerk tangents. It's great. So we didn't get anything accomplished that day except talking about Research Logs, which I totally did wrong and had to redo. When we got out of there, I booked it to the LRC to record my bed-making video or Basic Nursing Skills. The person before me not only ran over her allotted time, but as I was beginning my video to make the bed, realized she didn't fold the sheets right. So I had to stop the tape, rewind it, refold the sheets and remake the bed so I could demonstrate how to strip it apart. Then I gave it a second shot and scored big. I kinda lost my voice towards the end, but thankfully I learned that the microphone is AMAZING and picked up every possible sound. I was pretty nervous but got full credit and complimented on my awesome bed-making skills. ;-) You're jealous, I know. Don't expect me to make your bed nor will I make mine! Then I high-tailed it to anatomy lab. It was... interesting. We began dissecting our cats. We have the skinniest male cat ever. We were supposed to dig the veins and arteries away from the organs, fat and tissue... as we were doing that, we realized that our cat had a crazy mishap and his veins somehow exploded. Even the prof couldn't figure it out. So we were worried. But we chugged along. I wish we could have recorded our table's conversation. Between Aaron and Jen's cat and Mallory and I's, we had some pretty funny stuff to say. HAHA :-D It's going to be an awesome semester in there. After that I went to dinner and the library with Lacy. We opened up to one another about some pretty personal stuff. It was neat to be able to share some things with her and just... reach an understanding with someone else. After that, Amber, Lacy and I worked out for quite a while.

Wednesday... anatomy was boring, chapel was AWESOME! The speaker is seriously the coolest. His name is Tim Green. He's the author of one of the books we're using in Bible to explain the Old Testament a little better. He told us a funny story about how he had 5 hours to spend with his 5 and 7 year old nephews. He made the mistake of asking them what they wanted to do. Their eyes got huge, looked at one another in agreement and said, "Uncle Tim, we want you to take us to LazerLand." Tim had never been there, so the college-aged student explaining how to play to the 20-5 year olds and one adult was quite commical. They had to pledge an oath of how they would play their hearts out and do whatever it took to win. Well, usually lazertag is played with teams. Not here.... it's every man for himself. So as the garage door opened and the kids ran in, he noticed his nephew standing there... crying. He was scared to play by himself. He didn't want to. He wanted to play on a team with his uncle and brother, secretly. The littler brother came back and said "What's the problem here?" When his brother explained it, he said something about "You've gotta grow up. We're in the real world here." That's so funny to hear from a 5 year old. Anyway, that was the theme.... we're in the real world. We have to make our oath to fight with everything we've got. We need to persevere. We need to do whatever it takes to win! We need to bring others to Christ. That's our soul purpose of being on this earth. It was just an awesome sermon. :-) Good good.

Took my Bible test. I think I did well. The first page kind of screwed me over I think. True and False is hard because if the most minute detail is off, the whole thing is wrong. I don't like those too much. Oh well. Then I took a nursing exam, which I finished in 10 minutes. I got an A on it, by the way. ;-) Dang I'm a tank.

Lacy and I had an adventure at Walmart and Target yesterday. We then went to Subway, where the worker was trying to become best friends with her. It was fun. Recommendation: get a Sweet Onion Chicken Terryaki sub and have it toasted! Hot dog, that was the most superb sandwich I've had... ever probably. Oh it was so good. Got SheDaisy and LeAnn Rimes' new CDs. Pretty cheap too- good sales at Target. I then worked out for just over an hour... crazy running. I'm getting used to it though. By time I showered and dried my hair, it was like 11ish. I started working on the vital signs worksheet due today, and did a bunch of English madness. That kept me up til 2 a.m. Had to get up at 6 something to get to nursing lab.

Nursing lab was fun today! We learned so much. I kind of feel like everything was shoved at us. Whoa. We learned how to transport patients to wheelchairs and gurneys, how to position them in bed, how to wash the perinium (yikes), how to give bed baths, brush patients' teeth, how to uh.... make an occupied bed. LOTS of stuff to cram in. We have to demonstrate it next week on video and at the nursing home. Kinda worried about that, but I'm so confident. I'm doing awesome in that class right now! We went to the lab and took the NCLEX tests..... Ashley got her card stuck in the printer though, so nobody could print their results and hand them in for a grade. Good job ;-)

Had lunch, went to English. And here I sit..... waiting to go get coffee with Donna. I haven't talked to her in forever. Lots of catching up to do in 1/2 hour! Whoa. I don't think we'll even really get to talk about what's been going on. Though there's something on my mind right now that's really bothering me........
