what's new with me
I haven't posted for awhile, so here is what's up with me...
- Had a family over for dinner tonight. We made quesadillas, spanish rice, and then flan for dessert. Company for dinner is the perfect excuse/motivation to 1. Clean House and 2. Cook those slightly more fussy recipes that don't generally seem worth while to make just for yourself.
- Speaking of which, I made cinnamon rolls/sticky buns this weekend. WOW!!! So much easier to make with a bread maker! Hallelujah!! Totally making those again soon!
- Having a Bookfair at school. So fun, but so tempting to spend money I don't have. This bookfair has a YA bookcase, that has some really cool books, but what is really getting to me are the cookbooks! Which one should I get? Now Eat This or Cooking Light Fresh Fast?
- Got tickets to Regis and Kelly! Squee! Cept, I don't really want to be on TV, so I kinda hope to be in a top corner away from any cameras. I haven't mentioned this to my sisters though, so we'll see.
- My car is breaking down left and right!!!! The battery died/alternator finked out. Now the engine light is on, and our mechanic friend is telling me it could be the catalytic converter, but hopefully is the Oxygen sensor. He also tells me that I need to have a belt changed and the alternator probably still needs to be replaced. He doesn't even know about the back door/window that is broken or breaking. I have no idea how I'll pay for this in light of other recent and future expenses. Fully convinced that I need to buy a new car as soon as I'm fiscally able...unfortunately that won't be for awhile. I am not cut out for car problems. I totally panic and get emotional, but such is life!
- Absolutely in love with the message boards on Amazon. Have I ever mentioned that I'm a Harlequin Presents addict? Yeah, those message board people know everything. Totally having fun rereading books that I remember from my early teens but had forgotten the titles and authors for. Happy light reading!
- Lastly, just FYI, I like my friend's list. I am reading, though I don't comment near enough. I've actually been posting on the blockofthemonth community cause I'm heading up this round of blocks. So please don't give up on me and please keep me as your friend!!!! **smiles prettiest and syrupiest smile** Please, pretty please!
