What is the allure of Twitter?
I like the fact that Twitter helps coordinate popular uprisings to defeat tyrants.
I myself prefer lengthier modes of communication, and can't imagine why anyone would choose to communicate in what are, essentially, sound bites, rather than in email, to choose one alternative. I usually think of the reduction of life to sound bites as part of the problem, not part of the solution.
However, too many of my wise and/or smart friends use Twitter, so I suspect I am missing something.
Can anyone tell me what I am missing? (no abusive rants, please; just edify me if you will)
