This place is getting boring. I don't want to go out and get blown up, but I also don't want to keep doing the same thing day after day. I work, literally, every day. Sunday through Saturday, and over again. I can't even get a single day off, unless I get put on a detail which keeps me up for 26 hours.
I'd like a little more time for study. At the end of the day I'm too tired to focus on my Qigong books. I do what I can when I have time throughout the day, mostly during lunch, but I'm taking notes as I go, to help me remember and understand everything and so I'll have a reference, and it's difficult to focus properly and make the notes coherent when they have me practically running the shop now. I do the daily paperwork, cleanup, technical inspections and repairs for the weapons, inventory, and anything else which might need to be done on that particular day. It gets old.
However, if I can make it through this first book on the basics I'll be able to move on to the more advanced applications and it may be easier to at least move through the book and begin applying more of what I've been studying.
I've ordered two books by Shihan Richard Van Donk on ninjutsu, three books on kuji-in and how it relates to qigong, and a japanese-english dictionary, and one extremely rare book by Soke Hatsumi named Tetsuzan. I hope to have them within a month. In addition, I've been trying to get this modem working for my computer, but the damn thing seems broken. It works off a sim card. The sim car goes in a USB device, which plugs into my computer and, if I have minutes and I do, supposedly allows me to use the internet. But, my modem seems broken. And the only other personal internet doesn't work properly, has trouble loading or downloading anything over 1 meg, and costs $90 a month. I will find a way though.
One last note, the army is trying to get me to reenlist... :) I laugh at them.
