- Um, if things don’t make sense, let’s just pretend that they do, lol. I was hard pressed not to just turn this into a RomCom ala Love Actually.

Premise: Carter Industries and the Deveraux Corporation, two of the world’s leading technology companies, have shocked the world with the news that they are merging.
All seems to be well under way until Doctor Alison Murphy (Torri Higginson), Carter Industries’ chief aerospace engineer, uncovers the real reason behind the merger: Alistair Deveraux (Timothy Dalton) -- head of the Deveraux Corporation-- wants to sell her designs of a state of the art guiding system and other company designs, to foreign militant groups with nuclear weapons.
Unclear of what to do and who to trust, Alison turns to the one person she swore she’d never need again- company owner Benjamin Carter (Robin Sachs)’s oldest son, and her former lover -- Jason Carter (Joe Flanigan).

Alison Murphy II Torri Higginson
At the top of her class when she graduated from MIT, Alison is smart, driven and passionate about her work. She quickly rose the ranks and became Carter Industries’ chief aerospace engineer. There she met - and fell in love with-Jason Carter, Benjamin Carter’s oldest son. Their relationship was rather a tumultuous one, which ended in a break-up neither of them really wanted.
Now in the midst of danger and betrayal, Alison turns to Jason for help.
Jason Carter II Joe Flanigan
Known as the black sheep of the family, Jason Carter has never shown interest in joining the family business-- despite his obvious intelligence and knowledge of computers. Instead he chooses to be a Mathematics professor at the local college, something his father never approved of.
Impulsive, witty, and possessing a great sense of humor, Jason is perceived as being a ladies man. But in truth there really is only one woman he wants.
Katherine Deveraux II Olivia Williams
Born and raised in Britain, Katherine Deveraux moved to the States ten years ago to manage the Deveraux Corporation’s American branches. The sole heir to the Deveraux Corporation after her older brother Richard (played in flashbacks by Alexis Denisof) died seven years ago, Katherine is as cold as she is ambitious. Beautiful, intelligent, charming, and completely ruthless- she is the one tasked by her father to make this merger a reality.
Adrian Carter II Reed Diamond
A stark contrast to his older brother Jason, Adrian always seems to seek their father’s approval. As their father’s right hand man, Adrian is level headed, calm and calculating. The one handling the business of the merger, Adrian is the person who interacts most with Katherine Deveraux.
Grace Dunham II Rosamund Pike
Accompanied Katherine Deveraux when she transferred to the American Office of the Deveraux Corporation, Grace is the company’s in house lawyer and the one handling all the legal matters regarding the merger. She is a close friend of Katherine, and the keeper of the Deveraux family’s secrets.
David Hutton II Karl Urban
David is the The Deveraux Corporation’s Head of Security. He is a quiet, unassuming man, but also has an explosive temper. He seemed to be involved in the shady dealings of the Deveraux Corporation in the past, before he became the company’s head of security.
Miranda Saunders II Alex Kingston
A ‘consultant’ brought in by the Deveraux Corporation. It is unclear what her specialties are, but Katherine Deveraux insists Miranda gets to sit in on the meetings regarding the merger.
Matthew Collins II Hugh Bonneville
A member of the Board of Trustees for Carter Industries, and Benjamin Carter’s oldest friend. Little does Benjamin know that Matthew is in line with Alistair Deveraux and wants Benjamin ousted from the company.
Benjamin Carter II Robin Sachs
The owner of Carter Industries and father to sons Jason and Adrian-- Benjamin is cold and distant, brought upon by the death of his wife Emily 20 years ago.
Alistair Deveraux II Timothy Dalton
As the head of the Deveraux Corporation, Alistair has earned the reputation of being as charming as he is ruthless. Power hungry and selfish, he has no problem making deals with unscrupulous individuals.

The Deveraux Corporation’s resident wiz kid, Andrew has been hacking computers since he was 12. With his child-like enthusiasm and rebellious streak, he is equal part asset and equal part nuisance to the company.
Elizabeth Collins II Elizabeth McGovern
Matthew Collins’ beautiful wife. At first glace she seems to be a submissive housewife, but looks can be very deceiving.
Rachel Walker II Michelle Forbes
Adrian Carter’s scheming ex-wife. It is unclear what she wants with Adrian after all this time, but she has her own agenda, and a secret that may take down both companies.
