At 23, after having spent a rather unproductive, unemployed day watching the MTV VMAs (twice), here are 100 (proactive and engaging) Things that I’d like to experience/do before I die:

1. Run a marathon
2. Get my Ph.D. or some other fancy graduate degree.
3. Write a book.
4. Create a comic book/strip/Graphic Novel.
5. Grow my hair long. I’ve never had to-my-butt hair.
6. Hike the Appalachian Trail. With a companion.
7. Have a cross-country road trip. With a companion.
8. Visit all 50 states. With a companion.
9. Travel to South America.
10. Travel to Africa.
11. Learn to dance-swing, salsa, hip hop.
12. Take up oil painting.
13. Complete a Triathlon
14. Great, deep, true LOVE.
15. Have my heart broken.
16. Eat healthy for a year.
17. Learn to cook.
18. Read 36 books in one year.
19. Get published.
20. Get married.
21. Go on a long sailing trip; live for awhile on a boat.
22. Stay in a fancy hotel/resort.
23. Fly first class.
24. Have a kid/kids.
25. Hike down the Grand Canyon.
26. Go river rafting in the Grand Canyon.
27. Live in New Orleans.
28. Live in Washington D.C.
29. Live in another country for a year.
30. Visit Tahiti.
31. Work from home.
32. Go to India.
33. Go to Russia.
34. Visit my little sister in London (where she’s currently living)
35. A high school reunion
36. Camp under the stars with a lover.
37. Live in a High Rise with a spectacular view.
38. Go Skinny Dipping.
39. Go Parasailing.
40. Learn to Surf.
41. Design a house.
42. Get art commissioned.
43. Adopt a dog.
44. Write a commercial.
45. Work with some people to make a graffiti mural.
46. Plant a garden and tend to it everyday.
47. As an old person, wear a matching pant/top sweat suit every morning for exercise.
48. Live in a place where it snows.
49. Family Reunion
50. Learn to sew.
51. Make my own wedding dress with my Mom.
52. Become fluent in another language.
53. Join a canoe club. Outrigger style.
54. Invest.
55. How to Home Brew my own Beer.
56. Be a tour guide on the Jungle Cruise at Disneyland

79. Visit Amish Country.

81. Visit Maui, the Big Island, Molokai, and Lanai.
82. Dress up like a hotdog and stand on a street corner and wave a sign that says “Honk if you Love Jesus!”

93. Build a tire swing, teeter-totter/seesaw, and merry-go-round-spinny-thing in my own backyard.
94. Learn to ride a unicycle.
95. Rent a tandem and ride it on the beach with a LOVER.
96. Go on an old fashioned, wicker basket, blanket-in-the-park picnic.
97. Random weekend jet-setting.
98. Cabin in the Woods. Possible channel Emerson. Or Thoreau.
99. Lay out on an air mattress in the middle of a lake. Possibly sleep on it. Maybe even sleep on it and roll off-SPLASH-alarm clock!
100. Think of spontaneous things and GO FOR THEM. On the SPOT.
