next move: check
Applied for two fellowships, both in Washington DC. I'm not going to get my hopes up, but I would be really excited if I even got a call back from one of them. How cool would it be to have a job/move to DC? My mom asked my uncle and he said that I could rent out his basement. He lives in VA, near DC.
M. asked for early leave from the Navy and if it goes through he could be out by October. So if the DC thing worked out (hope hope hope), he would move there once out.
But by talking about it, I am probably jinxing myself. I probably shouldn't even post this. But who really reads this anymore anyway?
If the DC thing falls flat, I think I'm going to hang around in Hawaii for a bit longer, through December if I can squeeze it. Hawaii is a beautiful place. It's not too shabby on the weekends when you're trying to think of things to do. The answer is simple: go to the beach. Not to mention, I can eat spam every day of the week.
