This article from the New Yorker begs all sorts of interesting questions. . . . Have the police tracked down that license plate number? Does this actually violate any laws?
Also, I cannot, alas, find a link to the radio interview that brought this to my attention, but the folks up in Phoenixville, PA who are hosting their annual Blobfest this weekend have had an interesting thought: at the end of "The Blob", the title monster, having been subdued with fire extinguishers, is dropped into the arctic ocean, where it will remain frozen and harmless "As long as the arctic remains cold."
We may be taking bigger risks with this whole greenhouse thing than we thought.
