Rob is an idiot & other stories
This is the non wedding story I wanted to share from last weekend.
Declan is sort of self entertaining right now so I will try & write this.
Saturday we were at Gias (robs mom) and Melissa (sister) and her were taking about how Alycia (the GF) hasn’t been around since deployment. I said she told me that am she was coming to Ks party Sunday. Sunday am M messages saying that Robs status on Fb said single & that it didn’t show him as FB friends even with A. Hmmm. So I message A and ask if she’s coming to the party and she says yes. Then I message Rob (who’s overseas still) and said hey - not my business but she’s coming to party and ur single?. He responds with “we broke up she won’t be there.” Umm okay?’ I didn’t feel like asking when or why cuz I don’t care. We get to the party and she walks in. Eyes all swollen and she’s more shaky than normal. She goes straight to G and shows her phone to her. Then proceeds to go to other people and show her phone.
I was busy doing party stuff but eventually M comes to me and says Did u hear what happened?! I guess he deleted & blocked her and her family from FB & sent her a text saying “I don’t want marriage or anymore kids. You do. We should break up. Please leave the house before I’m home.” He never answered any of her other questions or messages. Super cold for over a year of dating. I dislike her but nobody deserves that after waiting almost 3 months of a deployment. What a jerk!
So now the kids see her crying and ask why she’s upset and she says ask mom. So of course after the party I need to explain why people break up and Alycia won’t live there anymore. Boys don’t really care too much except they showed concern that rob would yell more (cuz he was overwhelmed parenting solo - I feel him). They did ask if Ryan was gonna leave us too. I message him asking if he can call the kids and explain and his response was “Your Better at this.” Umm but this is YOUR mess dude. And I’m cleaning it up again.
If I were her I would have destroyed his house. Maybe not broke things or painted but I’d have for sure thrown toys, pots, pans, sheets aka anything around. And I’d have hid stuff. Mainly cuz I’d be pissed I waited on him and he had zero respect for it. Gia went over yesterday and I guess her stuff was already out and the house was tidy. Respect for her from me for handling it so well.
He’s such an idiot. Everyone kept saying “dang Leah u messed him up” but I kept thinking I dodged a bullet.
The only other news is Ryan’s interviews went well. They really loved him and he liked the job but it’s basically going to come down to money. He’s asked for more than the other candidates but for exactly what he’s getting paid now so he didn’t want to accept less. Only difference is he’d get bonuses for sales. So now we wait. They said they’d let him know by next week. They kept saying they really wanted him but money was a stretch so we shall see.
I’ve got my final dress fitting at 2 today. Then later tonight ryan and I are gonna take a better look at money, our schedule and such and finalize a plan for the wedding. He’s so miserable at work and tired (I completely understand) that these convos have been pushed off. Still they need to happen cuz 2 weeks and 1 day is coming. Ha! Tomorrow I’m taking my mom shopping for a dress. Those of you who know me enough know this is huge for mom and I. We never do anything together. She didn’t even come to either of my dress hunts for my weddings. So this will be the mother daughter bonding I’ve been hoping forever for.
