If this information comes as a surprise to you, you are not alone. I, too, was surprised to learn this information. While I did know that I have White ancestry, I did not know that I am an actual White person.

My reason for liking hyphenated names is because I'm a feminist and I'm huge on ancestry. I don't feel like one half of your ancestry/history should be erased because your father has a penis and therefore "wins" in the name department.
And you just reminded me of another post I need to write: Why I Hate Hillary Clinton.
