Summer Vacation - 2009 Update

Jul 01, 2009 16:47

This is the first of many attempts at journaling my first teacher summer vacation. This one will be a little nonconventional because I have to take a summer class, EDU 647, but besides that, it should be good.

It has been six days since my last day of work. Today I rearranged the living room, went to an inservice for our new reading series at school, went to the EA Farmers' Market with my mom and brother, and then we went to John and Mary's for lunch. I am trying to learn some new songs for chorus, but I don't have the motivation.

I just want to nap in the sun, but the sun is hard to find under the rain clouds.

Why haven't the birds in the woods found my new feeder? When they do, they'll be excited.

Yesterday, I rode with Dave on the motorcycle for the first time ever. It was very comfortable and I had a wonderful time. I foresee many decades of motorcycle rides ahead. I felt just as comfortable with him as I did with his dad, although David is much larger.
