Gah, I meant to post before midnight Damn you Echo Bazaar >3< Ah, well. Still marks the beginning of February, and I'm gonna try to write here each day with, if not a big post, at least a thought or question on a topic that might... inspire a dialog? I dunno, that sounds rather academic: :P I just want to say things, see what happens.
So, Day 1:
MY CHILDHOOD'S GETTING MADE INTO AN ANIME 8D
Seriously, does anyone else remember the
Magic Treehouse book series? I read so many of them growing up, Dinosaurs Before Dark, Night of the Ninja, Vacation Under The Volcano, Midnight on the Moon. Damn ^^; I'll admit it wasn't my favorite series, but it was a staple, with a great premise and a nice way of acquainting kids with world history, fantasy, geography, science. It was fun, and encouraged learning.
And now Japan's making a movie out of it, helmed by people of great repute. I <3 Japan.
I really hope they release it state-side, it looks great.
Speaking of anime adaptations of books I read as a kid, I should probably try to find the Deltora Quest anime again. It apparently aired on the Hub?
