BIG NEWS!
So here's what happened this weekend and since I don't know how to cut it into the LJ cuts then I'm sorry. But this isn't worth cutting...it's too important;)
Thursday I left work around noon and my dad picked me up at the airport. We flew Frontier Airlines which was cool because we had a bunny on the tail of the plane. Flying bunny...funny to me:) We stopped in Denver and I really enjoyed the airport there. My dad's lifesavers aluminum wrapper set of the security alarm so it took a little bit. Glad they're that safe. So anyway we got to Phoenix and then took a rental car to Casa Grande...getting there about 8:30 their time and it was dark already.
We stayed at a Super 8 which wasn't great but was cheap and quiet at night. They had mini bagles and mini muffins and that was it for breakfast. So at least it was free. Oh and by the way for supper on THursday night we stopped at the IHOP next door. It was quite sticky;) Fun experience though to see them come back...anyway!
So Friday at 8 am I had my first interview for 5th grade. They told me if they had an opening for the younger grades they would have hired me but they didn't, so she was going to pass this along to my second interviewing principal at 1 pm. So meanwhile I'm frustrated because she was the one who had asked me to come to AZ. We look around at some apartments and then finally I have my last interview for 3rd grade. It goes well but I'm still not having a clue as to whether or not I should look for an apartment or site see. Dad goes to chat with them for a second and they say, "Well we've already interviewed everyone for the position and have made our decision. Why don't you bring Leah in here." So I go in and they tell me that they are going to recommend me for the position. I was so happy. Another lady had to do the actual offer so I had to act surprised;) It was a great interview. We joked around and had a good time.
Saturday I found an apartment at "The Colony." It is a gated apartment community with a pool, spa, indoor workout facility, carports to keep your car cool, washer and dryer in the unit, and only a year old. I have as of now a two bedroom two bath apartment...but am hoping for a one bedroom when it becomes available. So I'm leaving the week of the 25th of July I believe and my mom and dad are going to drive their van to help me out. TOnite I"m going to Decorah to organize my things with my dad during the day tomorrow. I have Tuesday's off and he's a good organizer and doesn't have class until next week. I'll be back Tuesday night. So that's my news! Now I just need a church.
I already met a guy there as well who my dad thinks is great. He works at the pizza hut and is going to Phoenix University or something. His name is Michael and he met my parents last weekend when they went thru Casa Grande to check it out on the way back from Kyle and Rachel's wedding. Funny huh! He was working on Saturday night so I met him and he's nice. Anyway we'll see. One thing at a time. Gotta go back to work though. Oh and I have a patio as well on the secodn floor. Very nice! Talk to you all soon:)
