It's only taken about two weeks from the time Shaun was mesmerized by his own hand's existence to now being almost a pro at holding his toy ring rattle and his little giraffe thing (he gnaws on its big, round nose).
I'm really excited because we got him this cool wooden rattle called Klapperwurm from Germany (yay, no lead paint) and i wasn't sure if he would be old enough to use it at Christmas. Oompa toys rules. We got all his Xmas gifts from there. Everything they carry focuses on the child's imagination as the guide versus the toys that do everything on their own. That will balance out all the loud, blinky, battery-operated stuff he'll get from the other relatives.
