Two weeks ago we flew to Tacoma to pick up my Cooper. The dealership picked us up at the airport, and it was awesome arriving at the MINI dealership and seeing a sea of colorful MINI's.

After doing all the paperwork, signing, and having to wait, the salesman finally said, "The one in the corner is yours." I didn't realize it but my car had been sitting in a corner of the showroom the whole time, under a black felt cover. Robert and I got to pull the cover off to unveil my car.

I must say that it was the best car buying experience I've ever had. I got exactly what I wanted. There was no haggling. I put in my order. It was sent to the factory in Oxford, England. My car was built and sent by boat to the US. The whole time I got a special code to track where my car was in the production process.

My MINI is astro black with a white roof and white bonnet strips. I chose checkerboard side mirror caps which I adore. And I got the little bug eye rally lights. I love it. A very fun car. And fast!...got up to 90 on Snoqualmie pass without realizing it. Consequently, I'm more aware of my lead foot.
