So It Begins
I had my orientation at Best Buy today. That was exciting. I had to be there at 8am, I almost didn't make it on time. Not cool. I got home last night at 2am (after the daylight savings switch), but didnt get to bed until around 3:30 (anyone who works nights/late evenings knows you can't go to bed as soon as you get home, especially in a high energy environment such as a bar). I got less that 4 hours of sleep. I made it through alright. Let's figure this out. I'm scheduled 23 hours at Best Buy this week, I got up to 20 at Stout, possibly only 18 though, around 12 at the Echo and 16 credits... 66 hours, adding in driving time... 7 hours a week (or so)... that's 73 hours a week. That leaves 95 hours a week free. If I were to sleep 8 hours a night, that leaves 5.5 hours a day free minus an hour and a half a day for showering and eating (with the way I've been eating that's cutting it close) that gives me 4 hours a day to do homework and to have time for myself. It doesn't seem so bad but on Mondays and Wednesdays one of those hours go for a break between classes. Three hours a day to myself. That also doesn't take into account that chances are those three/four hours are not in a row so that inconvenience will suck as well. Oh well, this is my life and I'm going to make the best of it and love every minute.
This shitty thing though is that I don't have any pants that qualify for Best Buy's standards. No external pockets. I have three nice pairs of khakis that I could wear but all of the back pockets are on the outside. Shit. I just had to go get Stout pants and now I have to get BB pants as well. And, I'm going to try to shrink my Geek Squad t-shirt because it's an XL and well, that's just not really my size.
So what else is new??? I think I'm doing ok in my classes but I'm not really sure. I know I have a ton of homework to do tonight, which I should be doing now before the Echo but eh, I'm a procrasinator. I'm going to the night 89X stole Christmas and I'm excited about that yay! I'm also going to see Dave. Not really sure what's up with those tickets but I don't have to worry about them, that's Kendall's department. I have been closing at Stout which I actually like doing. I end up staying so late that it only makes sense that I close, I make more money when I close. I made more money in the last two nights than I will make all week at Best Buy and the Echo combined. Wow, that's sad.
I think I'm done here, I'm going to be productive doing other things.
