weekend update with leah bee.
whoa, am i TIRED. like i woke up at 1:30 p.m.-ish and then took a nap. :) what a crazy weekend.
anyway, i will start with warped tour because i am sure you all want to know how i fared spending the hottest day of the year thus far outside! the concert was great, and i loved spending time with erika and danielle. however, we were drenched with sweat, dirty, and fairly miserable for most of the day. it was just so HOT! and every band made mention of it first thing too. but yellowcard, sugarcult, and NFG all put on great shows and i really think that erika and danielle enjoyed their first concert experience nonetheless.
the one bad thing about the day--i completely sweated off all my sunscreen, and because of all the sweating reapplying was damn near impossible. so even though i FINALLY remembered to bring sunscreen, it was to no avail. *sighs*
ok so friday night cory and i and some friends headed to the horse racing track. it was my first trip and i DEFINITELY want to go back. i was the only one who won anything significant--i got a return of $8.80 on a $2 bet. :) the only thing that was not so good about that night was that one of the guys' grandma was doing not-so-well in the hospital and he got the call while we were there to start heading home. so our night was cut really short by that.
saturday was NUTS--just NUTS! we went to 2 VIP party's at the kastle in st. louis (ahem!--free beer!) we met a lot of people, did a LOT of dancing (yes--cory danced), and had a great time. i got SMASHED though. cory and i got home at 3:30 and finally went to bed at about 5:30--after deciding at 5 a.m. to make waffles! :) oh jeez, it was just all sorts of crazyness. i threw up sometime in the middle of all of that too, which is why i am not too hungover. but i am SORE from all that dancing--don't ya hate "dropping it like it's hot" when you haven't done it in MONTHS? OW! :) anyway, GREAT night!
and you already heard about me sleeping the day away . . . surprisingly i feel sick like i have strep throat or something. but it's likely just from screaming at my horse on friday night. :)
anyway, everyone have a great week. my week will be nothing but WORKING--i got a lot of hours this week. oy vey--so much to get done!
