[CLOSED] Bonfire for a new beginning
Time passes.
Armand doesn’t know how he missed how much of it went by since the last time he actually saw or spoke to Scheherazade, but now, in the depth of winter, he has no one to blame but himself. It hurts, though, very much. But he is afraid to speak to her, since he doesn’t like conflict. He’d rather let her think the worst of him, if that is what she chooses, than argue and cause them both more grief.
He survived having to start over before. It isn’t as scary as being orphaned or put in prison. No, not that scary. Just painful. And some day, he’ll be glad that time passes, because that is what heals, eventually.
He’s been hiding for a few days. Again his shaky time sense and spending a lot of it either crying or asleep has marred his sense of how many days have passed since he last actively looked for company. He never left the Mansion, though, only locked his door and pretended he didn’t exist.
But now it’s time to come out and start trying to put his life back together again. He does think that he needs to get rid of the reminders of her. Some small things, very few since he knows how easily they could surface again in someone else’s possession, he put in the highest attic. The rest, his notebooks mostly, he piled onto a patch of bared dirt and set on fire. There’s no danger of the fire escaping, nor of him getting too cold while it burns. Paper doesn’t last forever, so he’s added a bit of wood to the fire too, to warm him while he sits by the fire and gathers his courage to go back to his life.
