This Armand doesn't know much about wizards at all, or even gardens. He's very friendly though, and if asked nicely he'll share the ice cream he's just made. Of course, quite a bit of it is in his hair, and on his face and on his clothes. But the essential cold yummy treat is still in the pan as he gives the last few cranks to the ice cream maker.

Neville approaches because he's been hearing the sound of cranking, and has finally become too curious to not find it's source. He looks on in bemusement, having never seen an ice cream maker. He's actually not entirely certain what the man has on him, but thinks it might e ice cream. "Umm, hello," he greets him with a slight smile. "What's this?"

Yay! Thank you for starting!

Armand stops cranking and picks up a sticky spoon that he rinses under hot water a moment then tries the ice cream. "There. As of this moment, monsieur, it is ice cream." He waves the spoon triumphantly.

"Ice cream - from that?" Neville is clearly surprised. "Is that what's -- well, you have a bit here and there," he points awkwardly before dropping his hand.

"It gets everywhere," Armand agrees. He doesn't seem anxious to clean up. "It is a machine that turns the cream and other ingredients while the ice is freezing it. Would you like some?"

Neville breaks into a smile, and moves closer. "Brilliant! Yes." He really can't resist sweets.

Armand goes to get two clean bowls and a clean spoon for Neville. He climbs up on the cabinet to reach them. Then he dishes out generous servings. "There you go. Bon appetit!"

"Thank you," Neville murmurs before taking a bite. He has to close his eyes and savor it, it's so delicious. "Why does it taste so good?" His voice is awed.

Armand serves some for himself after Neville has his. "I don't know. It's all fresh. I picked the berries myself, although I suppose I cannot vouch for the milk. It was just here."

"Fortescue's never tasted like this," Neville hums, eyeing the machine. "Because it's fresh, hmm?" And really, he doesn't have more to say, because that would keep him from enjoying the treat instead.

"I wonder if there are cows here," Armand mused, thinking out loud. "There are horses." But he'll enjoy his own treat then put the rest away so it won't melt, and start cleaning the kitchen. He still seems oblivious or uncaring about how messy he is himself.

"How long have you been here?" Wouldn't someone that had been here for some time know whether there were cows about? He smiles, and takes another bite of the cold dessert.

Armand thinks as he dries his hands. "Going on eight months, but the first few were very cold."

"And no cow sightings in all that time?" Neville chuckles.

"None, but I don't get out to visit the cottages. They aren't in the stables..." He makes sure the counter is really clean. "Are you done with your bowl?"

"Do you ride horses then?" Neville surmises. For a moment, he stares blankly, and then realises he needs to surrender his empty bowl. With a chuckle at himself, he nods. "I really should wash my own."
