Exhaustion sets ins
Well, I had a rought day. In order to divert myself, I set myself to translating Seu Jorge's lyrics to David Bowie's "Life on Mars" as appearing in Life Aquatic. Armed with naught but my knowledge of Spanish and French grammar (believe it or not, the French was helpful) and a faithful Portuguese dictionary, I have rendered them thusly:

and have allowed to escape through my hands!

Então means "then" and vem is the third person singular of the verb "to come", but I fear this sheds little light on the subject.
