So happy!
It's been a month since we moved in, and I feel like I've lived here all my life! Our house is a good size, takes a while to clean but since we don't use all the space it's really not that bad :)
Michelle & Dom were in town for the Victoria Dragon Boat race this weekend, they stayed at a hotel but we had them over for dinner Sat night. Watching the dboat races brought back good memories. I paddled for 4 years and got very good at it, so much so that a competitive team tried to recruit me but alas, practicing 3 times a week all year long just wasn't for me. It's no fun paddling in rain/snow/cold :P
Work is good, steady and rather slow but it will definitely pick up again in the fall. So, I'm enjoying working less than normal hours for once!
This upcoming weekend will be super busy, my BFF Christine is coming from Vancouver on Wed and I'm taking Thurs off work. Friday morning I go to Van for work and taking Christine home, then team-building event for the Burnaby office all day Friday. Fri night, Vegas reunion dinner w/ Jen and her gang, Sat I'm moving my stuff from Clara's storage, then Iris's dad's surprise 60th bday party at her house. I'll miss my baby and our doggies, but I'll go home first thing Sunday :)
No more weddings for the rest of the year, whew! I was invited to my cousin Caroline's wedding in Oct, I have my CHRP exam that same day but even if not, I don't think I'd go. Toronto is expensive to visit and we're not even close.
Oh yes, and Fernando/Alice/Jayda/Anthony came for a quick visit Aug long weekend, the house was a mess afterwards with so many people, dogs and a kid. Needless to say, no more big dogs or kids allowed for a while :P
