Today, folks...today was something else. Get comfortable...this is going to be a long one. :)
This all started yesterday. Stephanie & I went upstairs to get the paperwork I needed to turn in my Symphony ticket for credit. While we were there we asked about classes next term. Ms. Peggy produced the list and then Stephanie and I went to class. I looked at it during class (hello, ADD!) and realized that of all the classes on the list, I only needed three. THREE. Hmm. I realized that I probably needed to go spend some quality time with Ms. Peggy and get her to go over my degree audit.
Which I did today after Dr. Reed's class. Turns out that I'll have most of my classes out of the way by the end of the Spring semester. I may have an education class or two to for the summer, but that will be it. They'll re-register me (or whatever magic it is they do) before Fall '09, which will put me in the brand spankin' new BME program. I'll student teach that semester, and the loving embrace of the BME will remove the requirement for a recital. I'll be DONE! As it stands right now, I will be graduating with my BME in December '09.
Did you get that? Let me say it again:
I
will
be
graduating
in
December
2009.
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
After a ridiculous amount of time, I will finally be graduating with a BME. I don't know who's more excited, me or Pat. She's suffered through the whole experience with me, helping coordinate pick-up and drop off of Mac while I run around performing, attending recitals, and studying. Thanks, Pat!!
I was on cloud nine for about 10 minutes, then I realized I was going to have to take, and more specifically, PASS the piano proficiency exam. So now I'm looking for a piano teacher than can help me not suck at the piano. ...sigh... That particular high didn't last very long.
