Tohru walked down the path of the cemetary towards her mother's grave slowly, both looking forward to Uo's comfort, but afraid to tell her what had happened.
Looking up at the sound of shuffling feet, Uo waved an arm. "Oi, Tohru!" She got to her feet and ran over to her. "Tell me what happened, Tohru-kun." She wrapped an arm across the small girl's shoulders.
Tohru waved back weakly, trying to smile. "Uo-chan. I-" She paused, trying to find a good way to explain. She blushed as she remembered what had happened. "Yuki-kun ran away from home," she started, looking away from Uo, reluctant to continue.
Uo frowned. "Do I need to knock some sense into the Prince for you, Tohru-kun?" She tapped a hand against her knee irritably. "I hate it when men think they can go around being all mad at girls for no reason!" Uo shook her head, and began digging through the picnic basket. "Here, let me get you something to drink...I mean, it's not like you could have done anything that bad." Finding what she was looking for, she handed Tohru a can of juice.
Tohruheld her hands up in protest, taking the can of juice after a moment. "No, no...Yuki-kun dodn't do anything worng...and I guess I can understand why he would be upset...if...but that's impossible." Tohru realized that she was being cryptic, but she really didn't want to jump to conclusions. If yuki had gotten that upset...did that mean that he...No, that's impossible.
"Uh...huh?" Uo was confused, her expression making this very apparent. "What's impossible? Tohru, this isn't like you--I mean, yeah, you get distressed all the time, but there's something different about it now. Can you tell me why you think he got upset?"
Tohru blushed deeply, staring at the juice in her hands. "Last night...Kyo-kun and I..." she blushed even deeper, losing her nerve. "...and Yuki-kun walked in..."
"...Kyo and you what?" A weird feeling was beginning to set up house in Uo's stomach. "What were you, cleaning? Cooking? He wasn't--" Uo's jaw dropped. "He wasn't trying to take ADVANTAGE of you, was he?! Did you Yuki kick his ass? Huh? huh?"
"Oh? I guess that okay th--" Uo dropped her half-eaten riceball on the ground, her eyes widening. "Whaaaaat?? Start from the beginning here, Tohru! You've totally lost me! You mean you--and orange-top--" Uo trailed off, her eye twitching slightly.
"Why that bastard..." She grabbed Tohru into a bear hug. "It's okay Tohru--I won't let that stupid boy hurt you anymore. He has no shame, using a line like that!" She glared angrily off into the distance.
Uo pulled back from the hug a little bit to look down at Tohru. "You mean you think he's telling the truth?" She raised an eyebrow. "...do you love him?"
