Dude, Sonic Youth Roxxors my Socksores
Went to the early show at the SY concert at the 9:30 club. Appearently, my father had this chick named sherifrafa (I can't spell her name) who he's always kinda forced on me. While she sat in the back in this one sitting area, I went to squeeze myself as far up as I could and wigged out. It was great great. Afterwards, these two random guys and I had this conversation about music and the decline of the music scene. Especially since no one goes wild and crazy and has fun anymore with a band. Instead people are like "I don't know what you're doing, but I'll just stand here and be cool" Where's the enthusiasm in fans nowadays. I was one of the few who were loose and crazy in the crowd. The guy I was talking to had interestingly said that being inhibited kind of seemed to be a white person's thing(he was white himself). He also told me how he was a deadhead as a kid and has always loved Sonic Youth and that the album, Dirty, came out when he was 20(Dirty came out in the early 90's). Overall it was good night. Wish Katherine could've came, it's decent for a first concert.
