What I'm not doing today

Well, I've postponed my T&E final until Monday. I just couldn't sleep last night (too much stress? Too many K-cups?), so it didn't make sense to go in and try to take this exam. I'm so glad that we schedule our finals here. Also, I just recently found this version of the UPC (which is a probate code, not a bar code) on a web site, together with ( Read more... )

No wonder you were commenting to me in the middle of the night practically. lol. I don't know why I was awake.

Gotta love k cups!

I didn't realize Yani has allergies. Glad the shots are helping.

Oh man! You missed the big post. Yani is allergic to many things, including (I can't believe this) human dander! She is allergic to me!!!

Re: K-Cups: the firm where I am going to be working has free k-cups in their offices. The other firm where I worked had free single-serve coffee too, but it wasn't nearly as good. So I think I'm pretty lucky. :)

Whoa, that is horrible, poor dog. I didn't even realize that was possible. I think I missed that post, but it is possible that I forgot, leaky brain and all.

Free k cups? Why do I work for a poor nonprofit again? lol.

Well, I miss posts all the time. Don't worry about it.

Re: free K-Cups: The other firm I worked for technically might be thought by some to be more "up-scale." But it's the smaller firm that gives us free K-Cups, unlimited searching on legal databases (at the other firm, the client is charged for each search you do, which drives me crazy), etc. And even if there aren't free K-Cups, there are other advantages to working for nonprofit/government.

I do wish guide-dog schools would get Keurigs, though. At least we could make cofffee at GDB. At TSE, we had to suffer through instant. Yick.

Sorry--I'm very sleep-deprived right now.

It is a part of the student-run honor system that no student will discuss a final with anyone. I think most people do abide by it. Here, only the law school has this system. At my undergrad, the whole university had a similar system. There, we took our exams unproctored. I think there are general proctors here, but I have been unproctored for all of my exams since I need a separate testing room. I imagine cheating does happen here and there, but people are seriously worried about meeting the character and fitness requirements for the bar.

Re: coffee, etc.: I've heard the Starbucks machines produce better hot chocolate than the Keurig (which can technically make hot chocolate, but it's kind of meh).
