Very cool. My BrailleConnect 24 arrived last week, and it is very cool. I haven't put it through its full paces with my phone yet, besides texting a few people, but so far, I'm very happy.

I think you'll like the 12.

Good to know. I went with the 12 because I will probably by a bigger bluetooth display in a couple years (maybe a 32- or 40-cell model). Do you find that the keys are pretty quiet when typing?

It is. I just did a quick comparison and the keys are quieter (though slightly stiffer) than the pk.

PS. This is being posted from the Icon. I'm kind of getting to like thumb braille!

Thumb braille...cool. Maybe I'll have enough money this summer to get the Icon...sigh.

If you wouldn't mind one more question, does the Icon support braille displays yet? When it does, I am getting one for usre.

Not yet. That's in the works. The Braille+ from APH is worth looking at. It's the same hardware and software under the hood, but has a regular braille keyboard on it.

Yeah--I've given serious consideration to the Braille Plus. I was always impressed with APH's responsiveness concerning the Book Port (pre-Stream). Since it was their version of the Book Courier, I'm optimistic for their Icon. I need to do more research.
