So, for some unknown reason, soxdamnxcute proposed to me yesterday. Seeing as how I am not completely daft, I said yes ♥
So, flist of mine, I would like to extend the invitation to party with us! You can do so at the thread linked above, if you're a member of the comm, or right here in this thread, or in its partner thread over on Kat's journal.
(yes, we're aware that we're completely barking mad, just go with it)
On the subject of Kat, I am all booked and sorted for my trip to her fair city. I leave a week tomorrow, and will be gone for a week. That's due warning that I will be offline, both here and at 42footprints for a week starting on May the 10th. I am super giddy excited about this trip malarkey. Expect photos when I get back, even if they're blurry and mostly of my hands and feet :)
RADIO FOUR - dad and I are back into the swing of our good old shouty radio love for Any Questions. I missed it so much while I was away.
The general election is the most exciting of my life time, without doubt. I shall be staying up all night watching the votes come in on Thursday. Be prepared for a very stupid and rambly Ruth on Friday.
I had an interview on Tuesday, which I thought had gone hideously, as poor crowson75 heard at length. However, all is not doom and gloom, as I have been invited to attend the assessment centre for the job. Sadly, there is no space for me on the next one, so I don't know when it will be, but hey, at least I'm not so terrible, right?
So, have a shiny happy song. Not Kat's and my wedding song, which is predictably Panic At The Disco's Northern Downpour (the eagle eyed amongst you may note that 42 and l-s have northern downpour icons in honour of this - 42 also has a Ryan Ross icon, because I am the best fiancee in the world ever), but a lovely song nonetheless. The rather wonderful After Hours by We Are Scientists.
