I fought the law, and I won!

Hello my lovelies <3

Shubh divali, to those who celebrate it.  I celebrated my first divali with my boss's family, hundreds of candles, and some seriously scary fireworks that the neighbour was letting off.  Underneath the power lines.  Lit by a child.  With a sparkler.  There are no words *covers eyes with hands*

Work is going brilliantly - I have about 25 cases that I'm working on, from first meetings right through to witness statements and trial preparation.  The exposure to the law is just breathtaking.  I love it.

We went up north to Maracas beach on Sunday, which was unbelievable.  I watched the sun setting over the rainforest, the light fragmenting through the trees, and I was up to my chest in the Caribbean Sea.  It was holy, it really was.  We went with some neighbours, who came round afterwards and had dinner and drinks.  They're lovely guys who are working on a power plant just south of here.

Also, also, in completely amazing headline news - I PASSED MY EXAM!  Thank you for all the prayers, best wishes, and thoughts devoted to deities of your choice.  I am now a qualified lawyer, with a Very Competent grading.  *phew*

If it's any consolation to those of you with frostbite, I burned my back on sunday and it's still red.  Not clever, self, not clever.

I miss you all like crazy things!  Talk to me, y'all <3  And have a picture of sunset from my bedroom window :)
