A Bad Choice

I was pretty disappointed in Obama's choice of Rick Warren for doing the invocation at his inauguration. Warren has stated proudly the only difference between himself and James Dobson is his tone. He campaigned heavily in favor of Prop 8 ( Read more... )

Thanks for sending that. I complained as well. I don't imagine that he'll rescind the invitation, if for no other reason than that there's no way to do it gracefully. So, now I'm starting to think of ways to protest Warren at the inauguration.

You could always have a sign that says something about "God hates errand children.... should we kill them too?"

We're going, although unless we luck out in Jackie Speier's lottery (3000 people for 200 tickets), we'll be shoulder-to-shoulder on the Mall with 2 million other folks.

"Errand children?" I'm afraid I don't catch the reference. However, the silly and anachronistic Biblical rules that one could mock in parallel to gay marriage are almost limitless...

I think that's "errant," yes? "Errand" children would be the ones you send down to the temple to get shekels changed.

I believe the Bible also says you should kill children who mouth off, and that cotton-poly blend is an abomination. And that going out to Red Lobster after playing football would be a double abomination. if your uniforms are Lycra blend, you've got the hat trick.
