Last night I read the last seven chapters out loud to Aaron and Rochelle. It was really fun, and good for me, because I was able to pick up some more really small stuff that I hadn't even thought about before.
Snape pleading with Harry as he lay dying to "look at me?" Yeah, he wanted to see Lily's eyes. I had to stop reading and take a deep breath, it was just so touching. And even though Snape was one of my least favorite characters, just because he was mean to Harry for no reason, I feel so sorry for him now. I mean, living your life with the regret that you may have lead to the death of the woman you loved, after having to watch her love and marry someone you hated? No wonder he was cranky.
And remember the "gleam" in Dumbledore's eye in the fourth book, when he was deposing Harry after the graveyard, when Harry told him about Voldemort taking his blood? Yeah, I finally understood that, and why no one died after Harry sacrificed himself. He gave the whole of the wizarding world that protection that his mother had given him. It took two reads to get that. I really should read slower.
I want to know their jobs, what happened to the Weasley family, etc. Hmm.
