Sounds miserable. I'm surprised they changed... hasn't spiral been around like forever?? Even if the band was just tired of running it, they could just farm it out to someone. Unless it costs too much, which is a huge joke. Blah. Well I'm glad you got some tickets anyway! Good luck with the TO ones :)
the stupid thing about it all is that it's the same system they used for the spiral, but with the captcha's that don't work, and more people trying to use their slow servers. spiral started in 05, so it wasn't too long, but IT WORKED. it's run by musictoday, who runs alot of fanclubs. i know i used stone sour's free fanclub to get tickets to their tour with lacuna coil and it was musictoday. i really don't know why trent got rid of spiral, it can't be the cost, since they're using the same system now for free. the only other aspect of the spiral besides presales was the stupid message boards (which are still running). he's got so many web things going with nin.com that i can't imagine the message board being super duper costly :P
