France: Muslim too submissive for citizenship
I'm all for integration and secularism, but the French are going a little nuts over there. Not just in this case, but in their whole bizarre culture war. Religious freedom be damned; for the sake of homogeneity.
This is not the preservation of culture (As if they are making the claim that culture is a static entity, a golden idol that should remain unchanged), this is religious discrimination -- flat-out. Yes, this woman's views may seem backward and primitive... However, it seems like no one is violating the laws of the land (Unless I'm missing some details or the French have outright banned islam; which wouldn't be a surprise). This is just a message to world saying that France is where plurality goes to die a horrific and slow death.
