Thoughts about the next recital
What I'd like to do for my senior recital.
Le Travail du Peintres - Poulenc
Lieder eines fahrenden Gesellen - Mahler
Ich Habe Genug, from the Cantata of the same name - Bach
A set of Lewd/Bawdy Elizabethan songs... Failing that a set of dowland songs.
Or... Five Street Songs by Ives.
I'm just wary that a certain combination of these would be a little too heavy on the late romantic, early modern side of things. Maybe I'll through in a haendel to spice things up.
Ah, so much vocal literature, so little time.
