What really gets me riled up, I don't know why, but I'm really pissed when people say "Buddhism is not a true religion". Anyone who makes this claim with any degree of certainty without knowing anything about the Mahayana, Theravade and Vajrayana sects should be summarily shot, and all useable genetic material should be destroyed. They have no business spreading their spawn, raising children, or breathing the same air that actual people use.
I dislike most of pedagogical theory as it stands today. My major contetion is the arbitrary separation of human intelligence as put forward in Howard Gardner's multiple intelligence theory. He changes the definition of intelligence as he sees fit and has the audacity to assert that all people are equally intelligent. While perfectly egalitarian, this falls short of any actual merit. While there are savants, most mentally handicapped are just that, handicapped. Many of them are unarguably less intelligent than say Stephen Hawking, Einstein, Newton.... The problem here is they don't take into account that intelligence is most likely an organic spectrum of things, rather than a concrete seperation of disparate talents.
