Back from San Francisco, and then Netherlands-Paris. It's been a short (admittedly un-typical) stint of jet-setting for work this year. What about the cakes we haven't baked? What about our respective partners which we have not had a chance to sneer at? um?

Ok jokes aside, I am not surprised with your conclusion, partly because I think we are both similar in this specific regard (that being able to desensitize ourselves to be able to leave behind our sentimental memories), but mostly because I think you are someone who can live with the unfamiliar. That being said, I suspect that there will be a period of adjustment, which is only natural (only in your case, it will probably take much longer whilst you find the place and consider the viability of color coding your wardrobe based on the ever measly availability of good wardrobe space...but I digress).

I love your writing. Of all the blogs that I always read (and I do read a hell lot of them, as you would know), your writing always tends to be highly amusing and purposeful, even if it's justifiably a tad self-indulgent (hey, it's a blog, there's nothing wrong with this).

However, I think it's not really a good state of affairs when the only way i can keep track of what's happening in your life is through a blog... hint hint.

Take care. I miss you.
