i especially liked the visa part. (visa is everywhere you want to be. the correo argentino building is not somewhere you ever want to be).

maybe my grandpa's prayer chain can pray for your box to arrive =P was that statement offensive? hmm.

I liked the visa part too.

This is one where I have it good being in Japan. Though the postal service is going to become privatized soon and people are worried that small towns/small branch offices will lose postal service.

My box is due to arrive in late December, as I sent it about 4 weeks ago by funabin (sea mail). I will pay for overweight luggage rather than send another, as it will cost less (the last one weighed like 16 kg and cost about $75 to mail, while overweight luggage is $25/bag).

Replace "Argentina" with "Romania" and take out the idea that credit cards are accepted anywhere... at all... and I feel your pain :)

its how many things function in this country and i would imagine in many parts of the world.
living here has made me accept that going to the post office to mail a box can be a whole day experience and i actually found it somewhat humerous. at least i understood everything they were saying to me!!

ps love the icon. i have a moose that looks like that.

I have lots of Mooses that look like this - I like mooses :)

My first one was named Moostletoe. He was an annual KMart holiday thing for several years when I was a child. I love him.
