Before Sunrise
I spent the weekend in Vienna with Rachael. I did not take the train there though. But because I was in Vienna I had to see the thing in Before Sunrise. I hoped to find a tour or something that could show me everything or at least most things that they go to in the movie but didn't find anything. The only thing I could find was a short article that listed maybe 5 of so places and how to get there so Saturday morning Rachael, Christa and I set off to see what we could find. And here are the pictures.
Probably the coolest thing was the Friedhof der Namenlosen which was an adventure to get to let me tell you but it is so cool looking and I was totally in love with all of the little black crosses as you can probably tell from my pictures. But yes they definately couldn't have realistically gone there in the movie. Unfortunetly, we couldn't find the grave that they were talking about in the movie leading us to believe that it was just made up for the movie. Oh well. I also rode on the Ringbahn which is were they talk about their first sexual feelings and about love but my attempts at getting a picture of it didn't work so well.
Then on Sunday we went to this Cafe. Cafe Spiro I think it was called. But anyways it was the cafe that they were in when they pretended to call their friends from home. It was way cool and I had pumpkin soup which I don't think there is enough of in the states and good coffee and delicious Apfelstrudel with vanilla sause. There are a couple of pictures of us in this cafe but they are not on my camera and are thus not up. Oh man we were so obnoixious. The old Austrians that were sitting next to us were laughing/glaring at us as we took the pictures. What can you do? It's hard to act mature all the time.
