I won't let them take you

Most of this update is good news, so I think I'll eliminate the bad news swiftly:

Work is still a mess. We had a 40% of sale and the store was in ruins. I haven't seen it so bad in a very, very, very long time. We all kept having to go up to ring, the line didn't end, even around 8:30. We had almost no time to clean, and not enough people either. AM said we were supposed to have 8, but with one person on register (at least) and one pulling the registers, and then a new person, it was more like 5, especially because she couldn't stay past 10 (she's a minor). There were two people on register almost the entire night, so that brought it down to 4. We really needed more people.

C, one of the assistant managers (who we all like haha) called AM late that night and apparently had to fight her to not make us do running. We didn't even get the store done. Women's and baby's both were unfinished, C and K ended up staying late to finish while the rest of us left at 11 (we had to because of break violation). To add to that, C was only allowed to bring in one person in the morning to do running, and there was way too much for just one person to do. AM over course messed things up again, and again it didn't actually matter because she wasn't the one closing who had to actually worry about these things. We made more than enough money to justify more people. I'd bet anything she gets some sort of bonus for being under in hours.

Anyway, to the good news! My birthday is November 2, which is just a few weeks away, so I ordered myself a little bag off ebay:

I ordered the one in purple. I've never seen anything quite like it before, and really couldn't help myself! It was only $15 with shipping though, so that's pretty good. I paid $30 for the one I currently use at American Eagle, but I've gotten quite a lot of use out of it (and still love it) just wanted a bit of a change.

I also ordered a gift for my sister from ebay:

She really likes Art Nouveau, and this pin I think is really her style. I think the fact that it's got the cut-outs (for lack of better term) will make it really striking and interesting, perhaps on the lapel of a blazer? She's going to be in Chicago for our birthday though, but this will be one of the only (if not first-can't quite remember) birthday we'll be celebrating separately, believe it or not!

My rilakkuma phone case has started to wear a bit, so I also ordered from ebay a new case:

This one seems a bit more compact than the rilakkuma case, which was quite bulky and also covered the silent switch, which I use a lot when at school. This is just, in general, a more agreeable shape, super cute, and I loved the color!

In the end, I only spent about $30-35 for everything, so really not bad, especially since...and this is the big news...

Disney World is happening!!!!
Our dates are set for January 3-9 2013! I've booked our flight, and am prepared to book the hotel. I'm hoping Disney will offer a free dining discount, it will be convenient and save us a bit. But the trip's not too too expensive anyway, and I think it's going to be well worth it! I'm so so so excited! Especially since we'll be there to see all the Christmas decorations and the Osbourne Family Lights as well as be there to see the new Fantasyland, which opens in December. I absolutely cannot wait!!!!
