Sagramore is sleeping on the porch again. The heat has tamed down to only mildly excruciating, but it seems to help to strip down as much as possible and hope for cross-breezes, curled up in one of the chairs that overlooks the front lawn. So that is exactly what he is doing

Seeing him asleep, Hadley-Bright pauses and, for a rare moment of quiet punctuated by his habitual constant activity, simply watches him.

Naturally, this scene is slightly marred by the fact that Hadley-Bright clattered up the stairs at full speed and surely full volume only seconds before.

Sagramore grins sleepily at him. "Good afternoon."

[hadley_bright]

'Good afternoon,' he replies sheepishly.

[le_desirous]

"How are you?"

[hadley_bright]

'O, quite well. And you?'

[le_desirous]

"Considerably well."

[hadley_bright]

'It seems as if I am perpetually disturbing your rest.'

[le_desirous]

"I don't object." He stretches and sits up, making a little motion of the hand that invites Hadley-Bright to come over.

[hadley_bright]

Which he does, taking a seat on the ground near him and stretching out his legs. 'You're very kind.'

[le_desirous]

"I'm always glad to see you. Are you thinking of riding to-day?"

[hadley_bright]

'Why, when am I not?' he laughs.

[le_desirous]

"Fair, and a good answer."

[hadley_bright]

'I dare say nothing shall keep me from riding every day now that I've the leisure to do so.'

[le_desirous]

"Myself I hope to do the same."

[hadley_bright]

'Then I fancy we shall run across each other once or twice.'

[le_desirous]

"Perhaps now?"
