james is a boy i have known for ages. four years, to be exact - but we only knew each other on the internet. today i met him. i drove to UC Davis, and met james!! this was very exciting. the drive was not bad (on the way back there was icky traffic because of an accident) and we went to the record store and the bookstore and he bought me lunch, i had an eggplant sandwich, and we watched a crazy japanese independent film about swarms of teenaged schoolkids committing suicide.
he is smart (uhh, taught himself japanese and went and taught disadvantaged kids in japan english for a semester, yeah, that's smart i'd say) and, all be it a little weird, he's very cute.
and tall and skinny! with eyes that are SO BLUE. you think of blue, and concentrate is twice as much. and that's the blue of this kid's eyes.
well, needless to say, i had a lovely time. and it was nice to be able to flirt with a guy who was totally nonthreatening and charming and all around a lovely creature with no obvious intentions.
