I've been fortunate to have been hanging out where and when i have been lately also. I've avoided headaches and bullshit. I've avoided people who don't know when to keep their mouths shut. People who can't stay out of other people's business. People who (i'm giving them the benefit of the doubt here) are so "confused" with their lives they see fit to hide it by imposing themselves on others, with little regards as to the appropriteness. People who are friends, but are better friends to whomever has the most to offer at the time. I go wherever people have the most to offer me, but i'm usually only looking for good company. I don't expect anything from anybody, and I don't feel entitled to anything because I'm someone's friend.
To be perfectly blunt, I feel that Ryan gets taken advantage of like a mofo. It's really only his place to say something, but he never will and I will never specificly refer to any specific people of incidents. But many people just see his house as an open flop house with everything in it, belonging to all that drop in. People who drop in totally randomly, whether it's a regular random or the people who show up every few months. That dude works more than almost all of us put together and people just take everything he has from him. His privacy, his time to himself, his food/beverages, his cheese*. Just because he has a house and is inviting is no reason to take full blown advantage of his generosity and it makes me sick. I love that dude, and that's why I'm not over there that much. I'd rather hang around when there's nobody, or hardly anybody there. I don't need to eat cheese until it's all gone, just cause it's there. I don't need to drop in on him when I know he just worked a million fuckin hours. I wont acquire anything from him just because I know how "good of a deal" it would be and I know he does it for others. Those "others" have a pre set arrangement, and that's their deal.
It's time for us to be grown-ups now. I love all my friends, but I'm not gonna go out of my way to hang out with people who are still livin the high school days... Except for K.B.
