Yesterday my 9/16" glass plug popped right in my left ear! No pain or struggle at the entry! Magic! I love taping up so freaking much, because when I finally get to wear the pieces I've been eyeing for so long, it's incredibly satisfying and exciting 8D I remember when I first started stretching in early 2005 and I would stretch up every few weeks

Eeeee, conguratsuuuu! I haven't known what to use for lube, i've just been using the plainest, simplest lotion i can find, but since my jewelry [plugs especially] are still so small, it's so fucking hard, lol. my ears aren't ready for plugs with flares yet still, tho. what is this tape? and i imagine BAF carries that holey butter stuff? i shall look into thattt. i can't decide what size to do... i mean 4g was my goal and i reached that from 16g in just a few weeks and my ears aren't lookin' catassy, but the holes are still so teensy. plugs look way nicer when they're larger [and you can actually SEE them, you know] but. i kind of prefer hanging jewelry around the 2-6g range, otherwise i start feeling like it'll look overpowering... IDUNNO WHAT TO DOOOO
i wanna see all your jewelries. i've seen a lot cos you post pictures when you sell it, but i wanna see more! you find SUCH amazing shit. i should also try and sell the few tapers and smaller earrings i've got, hmmmmmmms.

I use Astroglide! It's slippery as SHIT and it's super safe and hypoallergenic! PTFE tape is also called plumbers tape, or thread seal tape too, and you can get it at Lowes or Home Depot or any big harwarey store like that. It's super thin teflon tape that doesn't use adhesive, so it's super gentle on sensitive lobes, like my bitchy lobes which are allergic to EVERYTHING AND AIR! I need to make a new jewelry post or something sometime, because I just sold/bought a crapload of new stuff :D You should post yours too! I love seeing collections! Oh hey, do you have your internet back now?!

Wait but what do you do with the tape?! put it around the jewelry to very slowly enlarge the diameter of your holes, or something??? D8 i don't think i have allergies to anything that i know of, which is awesome. i was just perusing BAF and next time i buy something from there i'll get some jojoba oil and some emu oil [to try both, u kno]. i also need to like... if i stretch any bigger, i can't really be keeping the tapers in all the time, it'll get too hard to sleep with. i've been using acrylic, which i know isn't very breathable at all so i'll use i guess steel or something for bigger stretches.. ::taps chin:: IUNNO i'm just babbling ok

Yeah! I usually put one layer on every other day. It's a slow process, but totally worth it! Emu oil is AWESOME! People say it smells, but I don't think it does at all. I use it all the time for lobe massages! And I used to love jojoba oil....until I became allergic to it like everything else, though I think I'm just problematic like that. It's still super useful to have around to rub on organics though and keep them all hydrated and maintained! OH! I feel like I've seen a pair of bug in amber plugs around in the internet recently...I'll have to check my bookmarks for them. I'll link you to them when I find them!

ooo, that tape sounds great! this might be a dumb question, but how do you like... ...know when you've gone up a gauge...? do you just. keep testing it? hmmm. god i'm at onetribe now and foaming at the mouth already.

I just try putting the bigger plug in every now and then, and if it's still a little tight, I keep taping. Omg OneTribe...I need to throw some money at them soon. There is no end to the awesome in their product line D: You must get some of the horn/wood super spirals from them once you hit your goal size!!!
