So I'm back in Athens now after my big, long vacation in Ireland. It was SO fun! Ohhhh so many sheep and happy livestock every which way! Andrew and I ate way too many fish and chips while we were there. Ugh, how I'd kill for some right now...or at least some chips...fries...whatever and malt vinegar. YUM. We saw SO many beautiful things and I took tons of images that I will toss up in my next sketchdump tomorrow! More on Ireland then, I suppose! Also, I miss Aero bars like CRAZY. I will confess that I bought 2 HUGE king size Aero bars at the airport as we were leaving and I ate both in one sitting the other night. It was an amazing moment, especially considering the fact that not much had gone into my body before that. Mmmm milk chocolate <3
And now classes are back! I have a full schedule again, and it looks to be a nice smooth one too. I'm taking Intro. to Fish and Wildlife Management, Dendrology (study of trees for you guys who don't know), Calculus, and Microeconomics. All of my classes, with the exception of calculus, are pretty much awesome! I can already tell that calc. will be its usual constant struggle math course self for me. Pre calc. was too though and I still managed an A...lets hope the same for this one :c Dendrology is AMAZING. We had lab today and took a huge walk around campus and just talked about trees we passed on the way. For the labs in the future we will be traveling around Georgia to see all kinds of trees and ecosystems. I'm pretty pumped. I've already learned so much. Intro. to Fish and Wildlife is great right now simply because it's such a relaxed class. We're just covering policy and a little history to start with, but it's a great way to start my day. I met a fiend in that class too! She's in my dendro class AND lab as well. This is a pretty big thing for me. I'm VERY quiet and awkward!
And now for pretty much the best thing that has happened to me so far. Last week Andrew came over to help me ACHIEVE MY LIFELONG DREAM! Together we dreaded my little hairs and now I have dreadlock babies. OHHHH how I LOVE them. I've wanted dreads for....longer than I can even remember, and to finally have them is beyond amazing for me. It seems like everyday they lock up even more and become more shapely and lovely. Siiiiigh, they're like my children and I could talk about them for ages. Pictures to come, most definitely. I have really short hair though (3 inches average), so they take daily maintenance to make sure that they are locking well and to keep the flyaway hairs under control. On Friday they will be a whole 2 weeks old!
I just snagged Rune Factory about an hour ago for my DS, and I'm thinking it's high time I played some after catching up on all the DA submissions a little. Inbox tackle, AWAY!
