I'm back from vacation and procrastinating like a motherf*cker. I have all kinds of pictures to show you folks and will post the flickr link this weekend...i swear...i must!
Additionally, I picked up my first farmshare last night and oh man am I in love. This was the best idea ever. I paid for it so long ago that now it feels free to me. This weeks fruits and veggies were:
Strawberries
Red Leaf Lettuce
Bok Choy
Scallions
Hakurei Turnips
Garlic Scapes
Swiss Chard
and a potted Parsley Plant
So last night for dinner, I roasted a chicken with herbs from my fire escape and Jon and I sautéed the scapes and some turnips in olive oil and garlic. Delicious! I think that this is the beginning of a beautiful relationship.
