Baby when the lights go out :P
Excitement central as I returned to Uni today!
First stop after the most pointless introduction lecture ever (I'm in my final year now, I think I get it) was the QMU... where the lights went out. There was a power cut, a pretty big one cause the lights were off for about an hour and there was no power in my building either. Pure buzz man!
And can I also say how disgusting students can be sometimes? Last night there was a party for all the freshers helpers to say thanks, all the GU groups were there, the Glasgow University Union, The Queen Margaret Union, the SRC and more. There is some rivalry between the two unions, but it's pretty banterous, nothing too bad usually. The QMU people went to the GUU for the party at the beginning of the week without incident. But last night, for whatever reason, the GUU reps decided to completely trash the QMU by doing the following (and I am NOT kidding.) :
Peeing on the floor in various places
Stripping and streaking
Defecating on the toilet floor
Making themselves sick to vomit all over the place
Throwing around used condoms
Smearing used tampons on the walls.
That kind of behaviour makes me physically sick, and ashamed to be a student. I really hope the people who did this are named and shamed because that's so disgusting.
In other news, got some pub golf to look forward to for V's birthday. Anyone know where to find a cool visor? :P That's not before G's birthday karaoke and B's flatwarming, and my dad's birthday. Busy times :) the way I like it.
