off to stl tomorrow for the weekend. hope it's a good trip. i guess i'll wait and see.
i had an interview today at the golf course. while i want steady employment, i'm not sure now how badly i want to work there. i'm for sure doing the printmaking workshop, so i'd have to take time off for that, but i still want to work at camp again... i just don't know that i could if i work at the golf course. i'm checking up on the magazine and some other stuff to see what might be available... i might end up teaching art after all, but i don't think that would be any more conducive to working at camp. and i sure as hell don't want to babysit and have it passed off as city employment. i will work this out. i have to work this out. and i have to make sure by the end of this weekend i have an apartment for next year, whether i'm signing the lease for the one i'm planning on but haven't seen, or i'm scouring the neighborhoods around school for something. it's gonna work out. things are ok.
i went to the lake today and read. it was nice but kind of windy, but it was really nice to watch the water and the way the sun shown off the bluffs. after that i drove around out by the lake and in the country. it was just nice. i played the cd i bought today (u2's joshua tree, which i've been wanting for a while) and enjoyed the blue of the sky against the green of the fields and the trees. south dakota really is beautiful. i need to convince people to come visit in the near future.
