In ROTC we learned all of our basic moves. Saluting, turning in 180 degrees, turning to the left, the right. Standing in attention ( well really we reviewed that. We learned that yesterday.) And how to 'rest' when being addressed. Hands behind your back, the whole schpeel. It was uber cool. I can't wait to learn how to march.
Woot!
Side note: I lubz Leech.
Edit: I've asked my Dad to give me next Friday off, Sept 2, so I can have a day to myself. My 17th birthday's on the first, but taking a Thursday off is just a useless thing. Since Dad's been in the hospital, I haven't had much time to myself. Just between when I get home and when my aunt and uncle get home.
shortly after they get home, we go see Dad, and get home around 8:30. My aunt's trying to change me, and she says I can't get on the computer past eight, so I obviously can't do anything I want after that. I can't even watch anime!
I got to last night, after finishing my book, but thats because I asked my uncle instead of her. He understands that anime is just like a TV show.
They both say I'm addicted to the computer, but I'd like to disagree and agree as well. I grew up with the computer, and the internet more importantly, and they didn't. It's my only mewan of communication and entertainment. It's like me taking away their cell phones, and setting the cable box to shut off after eight oclock for them. It isn't fair. I need to wind-down as well.
I think I'm going to talk to Dad about that as well, if I get upset about it again. I told Romi, my aunt, to stop trying to be my mom, and she brought up that whole 'you're addicted' bit. I already had a mom, and frankly, she raised me as much as she could. I don't need 'Mommy and me' part B, so Romi doesn't need to boss me around.
I'm not Krystal, her daughter. It doesn't take me two hours to get ready for bed. <- that's why I have to get off at eight.
