CNY, and why it's the worst holiday of the year
When are you graduating? Oh, so soon? What are you gonna do after? How are your grades now?
Pfft, like you ever gave a damn the rest of the 365 days. But it's also through the cny period + awkward questions that got me thinking, wth am i gonna do after graduation? It almost feels like life ends after grad, there's the big void out there where you'll be kicked outta your comfort zone, and that's when most people start living. Or not. Sink or swim aye?
To most I answered I'll take the events-marketing-advertising route, cos that's prob the thing I knew best. Had also wanted to consider editorial, publishing, or journalism in fact. Play to my strengths right?
Then the straight A math-computing double major nus nerd of a cuz asks, but what if next time you decide not to do that anymore, you'll still need a cert and qualifications to get you through. Oh, so do you have a job offer yet?
Sigh, screw you, your condescension and all the other paper-pushers in the fam. I've got the nerdiest bunch of cousins / relatives. Nus grads, architectural undergrads, math and computing, doctorates, medical degrees, bankers, teachers, entrepreneurs. I'm gonna prove it that academics ain't the only way to cut it out there.
