Three hours have passed. The parents did not come back yet. The disappearance is making the four young ladies worried. Yeon-Mi is at her cousin’s house since she has to take care of Yoogeun. However, Yu-Rin had no choice to call in sick because she is also worried about her mother’s whereabouts. As for Hailie and Kelly, they are still waiting for their parents to arrive home.

“Unnie, it has been three hours already.” Yeon-Mi cried. “Where can they be at this hour?”

“Noona, where’s umma?” Yoogeun cries as he stares outside of the window, waiting for his mother to show up. “It is very dark outside right now.”

“I know.” Yu-Rin tries to be strong for her family. She doesn’t want to look weak towards them.

“The weird thing is that they haven’t left us a note telling us about their whereabouts.” Yeon-Mi continues.

“I agree.” Yu-Rin says. “This sounds very fishy to me too.”

“OH NO!” Yeon-Mi shouts out of a sudden. Her eyes become wide as she realize something.

“What?” Her cousin asks.

“THEY HAVE BEEN ADULT NAP!” She shouts.

“Adult nap…?” Her cousin looks at her, weirdly. “Stop joking around. There’s no such thing as adult nap. Besides, why on Earth they want our parents for? We aren’t those rich kids.” Yu-Rin says.

“Hey, anything can happen. It doesn’t have to be money that they want.” Yeon-Mi says.

“Honey, in this century, EVERYTHING has to do with money.” Yu-Rin says.

“Yeah, but what if this case is different from those regular every day cases.” Yeon-Mi stated.

“T-that is impossible.” Yu-Rin stuttered. “This society, everything deals with money. There’s no such thing that someone would take our parents away from us because they do not want money.”

“Unnie...” Yeon-Mi tries to give her a reason. “If you think this disappearance has to do with money, why aren’t they calling us now? And why would they involve other people for like our friends’ parents.”

Yu-Rin couldn’t say anything since her cousin has a point.

“Remember, it is not only our parents that are missing. Hailie and Kelly’s parents are missing too.” She reminded her cousin.

“Do you think their parents are home by now, though?” Yu-Rin asks. “Unless their parents missing can relate to us.”

Yeon-Mi shrugs her shoulders. “Not sure. It is the best to call them to find out. If anything, I think they should be with us.”

“That’s a great idea. Therefore, they wouldn’t be in this alone. They still have us.” Yu-Rin takes out her cell phone. Then she begins to dial the familiar numbers.

“Yoboseyo…?” The other line answered after three rings.

“Hailie...” Yu-Rin says. “It’s me, Rin.”

“Unnie…!” Hailie begins to cry all of a sudden. “They are still not here yet.”

Yu-Rin heaves a sigh and replies, “Yeah, our parents haven’t shown up either.”

“What should we do?” Hailie asks. “It’s three and half hours already. There is still no sign of them. No phone calls. No notes. Nothing at all.”

“Look, listen to me.” Yu-Rin becomes serious all of a sudden. “I think you and Kelly should come over to my place. Once you guys arrive, we will speak about this matter more. It is better if we all get together and help each other out.”

“Araso. We’ll be there in thirty minutes.” Hailie says.

“Okay, see you soon.” They hang up the phone.

“So…” Yeon-Mi asks.

Yu-Rin shakes her head side to side and replies, “I told them to come over so we can discuss about this situation together.”

Yeon-Mi nods her head. “What about Ki?”

“Oh shit!” She cusses. “I forgot about her.”

Yeon-Mi heaves a sigh. “What a friend.”

“Shut up.” She glares at her cousin and immediately calls Ki.

“Y-Yoboseyo...?” Ki sobs.

“Ki…?” Yu-Rin looks at her phone, weirdly.

“Yeah…?”

“What’s wrong?” She asks. “Why are you crying?”

Ki cries even harder than before. “H-he hit m-me a-again!”

“WHAT!” She shouts as soon as she heard that. “THAT FUCKING BASTARD!”

“Nae… And they’re all here!” Ki says.

“Why?” This made her even more curious.

Usually, Jaejoong wouldn’t be home. He would always go out with his friends and fuck around.

“I don’t know.” She begins to explain to her what happened earlier. “They’ve been here since I got back home.”

“That fucking bastard…! How dare he lays his hand on you because you didn’t fucking greet his fucking ass back.”

“Unnie…” Ki says. “Calm down.”

“HOW CAN I?” Yu-Rin shouts over the line. “HOW CAN I FUCKING CALM DOWN WHEN YOU’RE HURT BECAUSE OF ME!”

“Unnie, I didn’t get hurt because of you.” Ki says. “I did this to myself.”

“OH, I’M GOING TO BASH HIM UP!” Yu-Rin ignores what she said and keeps on cussing about how she going to fuck up Kim Jaejoong.

“Yah, unnie…!” Ki shouts over her lungs. “Don’t! It’s not worth it.”

Yu-Rin heaves a sigh. “Fine...” She pouted over the line.

“Stop pouting.” Ki rolls her eyes.

“Then stop rolling your eyes.” Yu-Rin said with a smirk.

“I’m not rolling my eyes.” Ki acts as if she is innocent.

“Then I wasn’t pouting either.” Yu-Rin counter back with the same technic as her dongsaeng played on her.

“You’re no fun.” Ki whines. “Who uses other people technic on them?”

“I do.” Yu-Rin sticks out her tongue, even though, she is over the phone. “Besides, I didn’t call to joke around.”

“Fine. What’s up?”

“Um…” Yu-Rin doesn’t know how to tell her about their current situation at that moment.

“What’s wrong, unnie?” Ki asks since she has a feeling that something is wrong. “Hey! Aren’t you supposed to be working right now! It is 10pm.”

“That’s the thing…” Yu-Rin begins.

“What?” Ki asks. “I don’t understand.”

Yu-Rin sighs. “Dongsaeng, our parents are missing.”

“WHAT!” Ki shouts after hearing the news. “Wait… Our?”

“Yup...” She explains to her. “Well, it is my mom, my aunt and uncle, and then it is Hailie’s father and Kelly’s mother, who are missing for the last three and a half hours. So, we are just wondering if your parents are missing too.”

“How the fuck would I know, unnie?” Ki rolls her eyes once again. “My parents take this place like a hotel. They come and go whenever they feel like it, leaving their children all alone with the maids and butlers.”

“Oh right…”

Then there was silent over the phone. No one spoke for a while until Yu-Rin broke the silent.

“So…” Yu-Rin says over the line.

“Yeah…”

“What are you doing?” Yu-Rin starts to ask random question.

“You’re weird, unnie.”

“No, I’m not.” Yu-Rin protests. “I just want to know something.”

“About what…?”

“You and you know…”

“Me and who…?”

“You know…”

“Who…?” Ki asks for the millionth times. “Unnie, I have no idea who you are talking about.”

“Aish… Do I have to spell out his name for you?”

“That would be a start.”

Yu-Rin groans. ‘The things that I do for you.’

“So…?”

“Alright… I’ll start with the last name.”

“Fine...”

“K.”

“Uh-huh…”

“Solve it, dumb ass.”

“YAH…!” Ki shouts back. “I’m not a dumb ass.”

“Yes, you are.”

“HOW THE FUCK CAN I SOLVE THAT WITH JUST ONE FUCKING LETTER!”

“Well, you can start guessing.”

“Unnie, there’s a lot of last name that starts with a K.”

“Fine...” Yu-Rin pouts. “Next letter is I.”

“Okay. So, it’s K-I.”

“Yeah...” She says. “Can you solve it now?”

“Yeah… You spelled my name, KI!” Ki smiles at her intelligent.

“Yay…! You just pass Kindergarten. Congratulations!” Yu-Rin sarcastically responds back. “NO, YOU DUMB BUTT! Solve the problem, seriously!”

“Hey! Your sarcastic hurts.” Ki pretends to cry. “And for your information, my butt isn’t dumb.”

“Yah, Ki stop playing.” She just rolls her eyes. “I’m serious here.”

“Awe…” Ki pouts. “But you were playing along so well.”

“Just solve the problem already.”

“But I did.”

“KIM KI!”

“Araso, araso…!” Ki surrenders. “You’re no fun.”

“Whatever.”

“What’s the next letter?”

“M.”

“M?”

“Yes.”

“K-I-M.” Ki thinks for a while. “Kim.”

“Bingo.”

“What’s the letter for the first name?”

“J.”

“Oh, you mean Kim Jonghyun?”

“NO!” Yu-Rin shouts at her. “Besides, he has a girlfriend already.”

“I KNOW!” Ki pretends to cry. “He was one of my crush too.”

“Whatever.”

“So, who…?”

“Keep on guessing.”

“Kim Jo Min?” Ki begins to make up a name on top of her head.

“Huh?” Yu-Rin looks at the phone weirdly. “Who the fuck is that?”

“I don’t know.” Ki shrugs her shoulders. “My imaginary friend.”

“Well whoever that person is, it doesn’t exist in my list. So guess again.”

“For sure it is not my brother.”

“FUCK NO!” She shouts. “Why the fuck would I ask about your gay ass brother?”

“Don’t know.” Ki wants to tease her. “Maybe there is something more to that gay ass brother of mine.”

“Eh?” Yu-Rin squeaks. “Please, dongsaeng. Don’t make me puke.”

“Alright, alright...” Ki smiles as she knew she had hit the spot. “Who is it?”

“Well, that person is always around you.”

“Who…?” Ki asks for the millionth time. “Just tell me already.”

“Well, he has a duck butt too.”

“Duck butt?” Ki thinks to herself. ‘Can she be talking about him?’

“And he also laughs like a dolphin.” Yu-Rin continues to describe the person to her.

“Alright, alright…!” Ki shouts as she blushes. ‘Damn… She went there.’

“So…?”

“So, what…?”

“C’mon, dongsaeng… you are in the same house as him.”

“So...?”

“What do you mean so?”

Ki heaves a sigh. “There’s nothing going on between us, alright.”

“Um-hmm… Like I would believe you.”

“He’s with those jerks, for crying out loud.”

“Uh-huh…”

“UNNIE…!”

“What?”

“If you don’t knock it off, I’ll tell you know who about your secrets.”

“Who…?”

“Now who is playing dumb?”

“You…”

“UNNIE…!”

“Araso, araso…!” Yu-Rin gives up. “I surrender.”

“Good.”

“You’re no fun.”

“Whatever.”

*Ding-Dong* *Ding-Dong*

“Oh, Ki… I have to let you go. Hailie and Kelly are here now.”

“Alright...” Ki says. “Bye.”

“Annyeong.”

“Don’t worry too much about your mother.” Ki says. “I’m sure they are safe.”

“I hope so.” Yu-Rin sighs.

“Love you.”

“Nado, Saranghae.” Then Yu-Rin hangs up the phone and places it on the table.

“UNNIE…!” Hailie goes to hug Yu-Rin once Yeon-Mi opened the door for them.

“Dongsaeng…!” Kelly hugs Yeon-Mi, tightly. “I miss my umma.”

Yu-Rin being the emotional girl among her group, cried. She has been holding onto her tears all these time. Therefore, she cries all of the pain that she had hold in.

“Noonas…!” Yoogeun also joins in the crying scene.

They cried for a while since they have no idea what to do, and how to find their parents.

Then out of nowhere, Yu-Rin laughs. “Look at us.”

Hailie also laughs. “You look ugly, unnie.”

Then all of sudden everyone starts laughing, just by looking at each other’s face.

“This is why people say when you cry, you look ugly.” Yu-Rin told a lame joke.

However, it brought everyone in the room laughing once again.

“What the fuck did we inhale?” Kelly asks while holding onto her stomach. “I can’t stop laughing.”

“Funny gas…?” Hailie joked.

“Who farted?”

“Noona…” Yoogeun tugs onto his sister’s shirt.

“Nae…?”

“Poopie...” Was what he said.

Everyone looks at him in horror.

“Oh… hell no!” Yeon-Mi groans. “I am not cleaning that up.”

“Me either.”

“Count me out.”

“Awe…” Yu-Rin whines. “You girls suck!”

“Sorry, sis…” Hailie covers her nose. “You’re on your own on this one.”

“Yup...” The other two agree.

Yu-Rin groans. “C’mon, Geunie.”

“Mianhae...” Yoogeun softly apologize as he was about to cry once again.

“No, it is okay.”

Thirty minutes later…

*Ring-Ring*

“Yoboseyo…?” Yu-Rin answers her phone calls.

“Ni hao, is this Kim Yu-Rin speaking?” A mystery man asks from the other line.

“Shi, who’s speaking?” She asks in Chinese since the mystery man is speaking in Chinese.

“You don’t know did to know.” He replies. “Anyways, if you want to know where your mother is… come to this address that I’m going to text to you.” Then he hangs up the phone.

“Who’s that?” Her cousin asks.

“I don’t know.” She replies. “But he told me to go to this place if I want to know where umma is.”

*Ring-Ring* *Ring-Ring*

“Yoboseyo…?” Hailie answers her phone after checking her caller ID. ‘That’s weird. It’s an unknown number.’

“Yoboseyo, is this Hailie?” The mystery man asks.

“Yes.” She replies back. “Who is this?”

“You don’t need to know who I am.” He replies. “However, I know about your parents’ whereabouts.”

“WHERE THE FUCK ARE THEY?” She shouts over the line.

“Tsk. Tsk…” He clicks his teeth together with his tongue. “If you want to know where they are, come to this address that you will be receiving soon.” With that said, he hangs up the phone.

“Who’s that?” Her stepsister asks.

“I don’t know.” She shrugs her shoulders. “But he told me that he knows where our parents are.”

“Oh… Where…?”

“I don’t know. He says that he will text me the address.”

“Same here...” Yu-Rin agrees.

*Ring-Ring* *Ring-Ring* *Ring-Ring*

“Hello?” Yeon-Mi answers her phone after realizing that the number is in private.

“Yoboseyo, is this Kim Yeon-Mi?” The mystery man politely asks.

“Yes, who may I be speaking too?” She asks.

“That is not important. What is important is that I know where your parents are.” He said.

“Please, tell me where they are.” Yeon-Mi commands.

“Patient, my dear.” He says. “I’ll be sending you the address soon.” With that he hangs up the phone.

“Who’s that?” Her cousin asks.

“Same as you girls...” That was all she said.

*Beep-Beep*

Their phones went off at the same time. The three young ladies check their phones.

“What does your text says?” They asked each other.

“Mine told me to meet at 1516 Dong Way Street.” Yu-Rin told them. (A/N: Sorry. I don’t live in Korea, and I don’t know the streets very well. So I’m just making up street names and numbers.)

“Really…?” The other two ask. “Mine says the same.”

“What? Really…?” They all look at each other’s phone to see that they have the same address.

“Wait…” Yeon-Mi says. “Doesn’t this address look familiar?”

“You know…” Yu-Rin replies. “I think it does.”

“Well, we wouldn’t know unless we go there and find out ourselves.”

“She’s right.”

“Yeah, let me pack Yoogeun’s things first.” Yu-Rin says. “And we can head out.”

“Araso...”
